Consisting of four musicians who met in a music class, the group has been steadily taking off, primarily in London, and recently released their new single, “middle name (she knows).”

Embracing a wide rangeof musical influences, The Polygons offer a distinctive sound that blends elements from various genres and styles. Their music is packed full of energy fusing together Rock, Pop, Indie and Britpop. “We very happily and openly take influences from literally everywhere. There is nothing that we wouldn’t take inspiration from”, says guitarist Samuel Couchman.

The band’s reach has been steadily building, with their talent catching the ear of BBC Introducing’s Abbie McCarthy, who praised them as “a band after our own hearts.” Now they prepare for their upcoming show in Birmingham: “We’re just very excited, because it’ll be our first gig outside of Kent-London!”, says Couchman. Lead singer Will Aers adds: “We hope to turn the Midlands into the Greatlands!”

In addition to their Birmingham debut, The Polygons have secured a spot in the semi-finals for the Isle of Wight Festival this summer, marking a significant milestone in their budding career. In 2021, The Polygons supported Rock band Toploader, another remarkable moment in their career.

The Polygons started calling themselves “your mums favourite band” when they noticed not only teenage girls coming to the shows, but also their moms. According to guitarist Couchman: “It started as a joke, but it is actually true!” So, bring your moms and join The Polygons at Deadwax on June 12th!
