Birmingham’s Rock Musicians Are Ready To Welcome Back Our Leading Music Ambassador To The UK Home Of Rock & Roll.
It is undeniable that the upcoming final Black Sabbath appearance at Villa Park on Saturday 5th July is a hugely momentous occasion. Important not only for Sabbath fans, nor just for Birmingham, but most importantly, this sets in stone Birmingham’s reputation as the ‘UK’s Home of Rock ‘N Roll’, drawing attention to the bands and musicians that have helped establish that reputation since the early 1960s. And this demands to be celebrated!
So, from Thursday the 3rd to Sunday the 6th July, Birmingham’s Rock musicians will deliver multiple performances throughout the city to welcome home our most prominent ambassadors of Rock, with an appropriate celebration of our music.
The city will be swarming with rock and roll visitors, as additionally that very weekend of the 5th and 6th July another titan of the Birmingham rock scene, Jeff Lynne, is set to bid farewell to his fans at the Utilita Arena.
We see no alternative than to welcome these visitors with open arms and to celebrate Birmingham’s rock talent – the best in the UK – with an extravaganza of fine music and a plethora of additional activity.
For those fine, sunny July days, the eyes of the entire Rock & Roll world will be on Birmingham – let’s give them something to talk about.
