Founded in 1995, The Head of Steam is a small chain of craft ale bars dotted around the UK.
The Birmingham branch opened on Temple Street in 2018 and is set out over a large open plan space with a lower level entrance with seating and an raised area inside for events and meetings.
Visitors will find an a quirky decor inside, with impressive array of neon signage, industrial design with a heavy steam power & rail theme throughout.
From train carriage seating to high-stool bar space, there are plenty of quiet corners and bolt holes to retreat with your pint or cocktail, or just perch at the bar and watch the world go by.
There is an extensive selection of Craft Beers, Cask Ales, Cocktails, Wines and spirits with a great bar menu featuring burgers, snacks and pizza. The Head of Steam hosts weekly live music, DJs and is dog friendly too!

There is a raised semi-private area for up to 40 guests called the Chimay room.
Perfect for private beer masterclasses, parties, celebrations and corporate events.
Available to hire daily from 10am and fully loaded with a large flat screen TV and HDMI cable.
Benefit from the live music acts every Wednesday from 7pm and DJ’s every Friday and Saturday from 8pm.
