Curry King of Birmingham is back for 2026!

LoveBrum is turning up the heat once again with the return of its sell-out fundraising spectacular, Curry King of Birmingham, taking place on Thursday 12th February 2026 at The Eastside Rooms.

Following the sizzling success of the 2024 event, where local businesses battled it out in a glamorous black-tie showdown, this year’s Curry King promises even more flavour, friendly rivalry, and unforgettable entertainment – all in support of Birmingham’s unsung community heroes.

Guests will enjoy:

· Curry cook-off live on stage – Birmingham’s business community teaming up with top chefs to create their ultimate curry.

· Expert judging panel – celebrity guests and food lovers deciding who wears the crown… and who takes home the dreaded wooden spoon.

· Three-course banquet and live cultural entertainment celebrating the city’s diversity and culinary talent.

LoveBrum, the Birmingham-based charity behind the event, champions small, volunteer-led causes that are often overlooked but make a huge difference to communities across the city.

Adam Heard, Charity Manager at LoveBrum, said: “Curry King is more than just a fun night out – it’s about celebrating our city, its people, and its passion for food. Every ticket sold helps us support grassroots projects and hidden heroes who are making Birmingham a better place to live and work.”

The judging team will be headed up by our very own Yummy Brummie Glynn Purnell alongside other culinary experts and foodies including Andrew Riley, Editor of Style Birmingham, Anita Champaneri from Delicious PR and Rai Singh from Pushkar.

Last year’s winning team were Ring Of Fire, helping raise thousands for the charity!

This year the fundraising is starting early with local restaurant Blanc NRI selling a popular Brummie curry – the Kozhi Varha.  The Arcadian based restaurant will donate £1 from every official curry sold to the charity – available in September and October.

Husban Ahmed, owner of Blanc NRI said:  “It’s such a great event and the charity support so many good causes and help under privileged communities so we are very happy to do our part.”
