One of the UK’s most exciting underground bands arrives at The Victoria this November as Foot Foot headline a bill packed with forward thinking alternative music, alongside special guests Pip and Weatherhood.
Bristol’s Foot Foot have spent the last few years building a reputation for music that constantly defies expectations. Their sound draws equally from folk traditions, intricate math rock structures and the atmospheric weight of post rock, creating songs that feel unpredictable yet deeply affecting.
Led by vocalist and guitarist Esther Pollock, the five piece weave together rich violin melodies, woodwind flourishes, fragile vocal harmonies and sharply angular instrumentation. Their debut album, ‘still waters, empty house’, released to critical acclaim in 2025, captures a band unafraid to experiment, finding beauty in tension and complexity. Tracks drift through delicate passages before erupting into dissonant bursts of energy, reflecting themes of love, loneliness and self discovery.
Support comes from Birmingham’s Pip, whose restless approach to alternative music has made them one of the city’s most talked about emerging acts. Blending dissonance, unconventional song structures and memorable melodies, the band continue to push their sound forward with every release. Their sophomore EP ‘what are you looking at?’ further established their knack for combining emotional weight with sonic experimentation.
Opening the bill are Weatherhood, whose blend of guitar driven indie rock and thoughtful songwriting has quickly gained attention across the Midlands. With the release of their debut EP and a growing live reputation, they’re a fitting addition to an evening celebrating artists doing things their own way.
An evening of ambitious songwriting, genre blurring creativity and some of the most exciting emerging talent around. If you like your guitar music challenging, rewarding and impossible to predict, The Victoria is the place to be.
