Breaking the Silence’s 12 week therapeutic and restoration programme to support children and young people

In January 2020 we are launching Breaking the Silence’s 12 week therapeutic and restoration programme that has been designed to support children and young people (aged 8-18 years) who have experienced or witnessed abuse or trauma.

After many years of supporting women survivors, it has been recognised that there is often a lack of support for the children of these individuals. This interactive and activity based programme will cover themes to support the children & young people including healthy relationships, developing resilience and managing fear.

It would be great if you could join us at our Open Day on Tuesday 24th September 2019 at Edgbaston Stadium. Each 2 hour session will give you an opportunity to learn more about the programme, what types of activities will be undertaken and the referral and application process

You are invited to attend one of the 3 available sessions. As we have limited places available you will need to secure your place via this Eventbrite ‘Link’.

10.00am – session is for Parents and Carers

1.00pm – session is for Professionals and Partner Organisations

6.00pm – session is for Parents and Carers

You are welcome to forward this email to any of your contacts who you think it would be of interest. Please note the Open Day is aimed at adults only, these are parents/carers/guardians or professionals who may potentially refer children and young people.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to get in contact. Remember to book on early, as there are limited places for the Open Day!
