Dishoom launches Home Feast Kit!

Dishoom are delighted to announce the launch of the Dishoom Home Feast, a brand-new meal kit containing a generous selection of Dishoom’s most-loved dishes for at-home enjoyment. Dishoom’s team of talented chef-wallas have chopped, stirred, and marinated to provide a first-rate feasting experience that requires just a little effort and minimal skill to perfect at home – success is practically guaranteed.

The kit comes complete with all the ingredients and know-how to prepare a bountiful spread of grills, curries, breads, sides, and pudding in little more than half an hour. A carefully balanced selection of veg and non-veg dishes make it an excellent choice for meat-eaters or mixed households, providing a plentiful meal for two to four diners.

Kits are priced at £60 (excl. delivery) and are available for nominated day delivery to most addresses nationwide (excluding Highlands, Islands, and some parts of Scotland). For every kit sold, Dishoom will donate a meal to their long-term charity partner, Akshaya Patra, an excellent organisation that provides nutritious free meals to school children in India. Patrons can place their orders now via the Dishoom Store for delivery from 12th August onwards: https://store.dishoom.com/home

An ample feast for two to three people (that can easily serve four if you add a little rice), the kit contains everything needed to create a selection of Dishoom’s best-loved dishes in the comfort of one’s own kitchen. Kababs come pre-marinated, ready to skewer and grill: Lamb Sheekh Kabab, minced lamb expertly marinated in green chilli, coriander and cumin, and Murgh Malai, chicken thigh meat steeped in garlic, ginger, coriander and a little cream.

Accompanying curries need simply to be warmed through – there is steadfast and delicious Mattar Paneer, a vegetarian curry with rich tomato base, sweet peas and paneer, along with Dishoom’s signature House Black Daal. Ingredients for light and crunchy Bhel simply need tossing together, whilst cucumber, tomatoes and onion are ready to be chopped, tossed and dressed to create freshest Kachumber. Three Tawa Roti dough balls come ready to be rolled and cooked in moments. To finish, the Gulkand Mess, Dishoom’s take on a classic Eton Mess featuring strawberries, meringue, cream, gulkand and rose syrup, makes the speediest of sweet treats.

All dishes are halal and come accompanied by bottled Mango Lassi containing first-class yoghurt and fresh mango pulp. Patrons can also choose to add a 750ml bottle of Int3gral3 Frizzante Bianco for an additional £20: a lively and refreshing white wine by an admirable organic producer, with gentle fizz, notes of white flowers and a dry grapefruit bite. This approachable, low ABV tipple makes most satisfying, easy-drinking alongside a fulsome feast, and refreshing, crisp flavours provide a perfect accompaniment to richly-spiced dishes.

The kit comes with all the know-how and additional extras to make this a truly first-class feast. Easy-to-follow instructions are included, along with links to handy video tutorials from Dishoom’s Executive Chef, Naved Nasir. The kit also contains reusable meat skewers for grilling, a bespoke tea towel for wrapping roti, and plentiful Kabab Masala for future use.
