As the nights draw in, Bar + Block in Birmingham and Leamington Spa is raising the ‘steaks’ with its new Autumn menu, packed with indulgent flavours, creative cocktails and the steakhouse signatures guests know and love.
Fresh additions to the starters include Italian Spicy Sausage and Mozzarella Arancini; a Pulled Beef Rarebit Crumpet and Creamy Mixed Mushrooms on sourdough bloomer with Grana Padano and rocket.
Among the seasonal highlights are bold mains making their debut: The Ultimate Surf and Turf, a 12oz chimichurri sirloin served with chargrilled garlic king prawns and truffle & Grana Padano fries. And for the burger lovers, the new Blue Cheese & Bacon Burger delivers a punchy combo of handmade steak patty with blue cheese, balsamic onion confit and crisp oak-smoked streaky bacon.
At the heart of the menu is Bar + Block’s signature steaks, hand-cut to order, to any size, by expert chefs, matured for at least 30 days for maximum flavour and tenderness and sourced from trusted British and Irish farms. Guests can select fillet, ribeye, sirloin or rump, served with house salad or beef-dripping triple-cooked chips and paired with sauces from chimichurri or the new block béarnaise. Fancy a little more? Choose sides like new indulgent Crispy Beef Dripping Mash served with a jug of gravy or Hasselback Potatoes topped with garlic butter and Grana Padano.
New desserts come in the form of a Cinnamon Bun with dulce de leche and vanilla ice cream and a molten Chocolate Fondant. The cocktail list has also had a shake-up with playful creations such as a Popcorn Colada, S’mores Espresso Martini and Dragon Fruit + Papaya Mojito.
A destination for any occasion, linger over Bar + Block’s daily bottomless brunch (12pm– 7pm/ or 5pm Saturdays), with three small plates and unlimited drinks available for 90mins for £35. For an affordable weekday lunch or early dinner, enjoy a selection of mains, from steak sandwiches to sea bass, for just £10, or gather friends and families for Sunday roast with Sirloin of Beef or a 16oz Chateaubriand Roast Sharer, served with yorkies, beef dripping roasties, honey-glazed parsnips and rich gravy.
