The Night Owl will be hosting a fundraiser for Operation Santa this year, on Sunday 14th November with Judy D, Jason Ensa and the Lobsters of Freedom, The Needless, Midnight City Soul Band and James Reidy.
Last winter, during the tier 3 lockdowns in Birmingham, a team of neighbours from a road in Kings Heath teamed up with the Spearhead Trust to create ‘Operation Santa’, an initiative across the Druids Heath area of Birmingham. Druids Heath is one of the most under funded and neglected areas of the West Midlands. Operation Santa saw the donation of food, gifts and other necessities to families in the area who needed them the most.
Last year, Operation Santa raised over £2500 for disadvantaged families and children in our local area in less than 6 weeks. The funding was used to support 54 families delivering 180 gifts to 120 children and over 60 parents to help them make their Christmas a more enjoyable one!
This year, Operation Santa is back again, now a registered CIC, and is hoping to deliver even more presents and other necessities to the families of Druids Heath. To raise money for the cause, The Night Owl are hosting a fundraiser with an absolutely stellar lineup on Sunday 14th November!
3 piece, local band, The Needless will be bringing everything Mod rock to the party! Playing original music and a variety of covers from the 60s, 70s and 80s, bringing in heavy tones of The Jam, The Beatles and The Who.
Midnight City Soul Band
The lads from Midnight City Soul Band are no strangers to The Night Owl and will be bringing down a mix of classic northern soul and motown grooves!
Disco diva, groovy Judy D will have you all moving your feet with her jazz, funk and disco flare!
Birmingham based singer songwriter, James Reidy is known for his acoustic vibes and will be bringing all of that and more to The Night Owl.
Jason Ensa and The Lobsters of Freedom
After a short hiatus from performing, Birmingham legends Jason and his lobsters are back and are making their comeback at The Night Owl.
The fundraising festivities will be kicking off from 2pm on Sunday 14th November! Tickets are £6 or pay as you feel! Families of all ages are welcome.
