The Cuban Embassy will close its doors for the final time on Sunday 27th September 2026.
But before the lights go down on one of Moseley’s most distinctive nightlife spots, there’s one last fiesta to be had.
The Cuban Embassy will mark the end of its ten-year chapter with a final
weekend-long celebration from September 25th-27th, bringing together the music, musicians, DJs, food, drinks and good-time atmosphere that have become synonymous with the venue.
While the details of what comes next are being kept under wraps for now, the team behind The Cuban Embassy has confirmed that the venue will return under a new brand and a new identity.
So, rather than saying goodbye forever, the final night will be a celebration of everything that came before – and a hint at what’s still to come.
For a decade, the former Bull’s Head on St Mary’s Row has been transformed into a little slice of Havana in Birmingham – serving up Cuban cocktails, rum, Latin-inspired food and live music while becoming a familiar home for musicians, DJs, promoters, partygoers and the wider Birmingham community.
The venue has hosted everything from Latin nights and live bands to hip-hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall, Afrobeat, garage, country and alternative music, alongside its regular programme of live entertainment. Its house band, Rhythms Del Toro, has become a Saturday-night institution, bringing audiences to the dancefloor week after week.
The Cuban Embassy has also played host to the annual Birmingham Rum Festival, which celebrated its own tenth anniversary in 2025, as well as countless birthdays, weddings, private parties, gigs, club nights and late-night celebrations.
Now, after ten years, the Cuban Embassy name is coming to an end.
But the story of The Bull’s Head isn’t.
