THE FIELD FARMSHOP & KITCHEN ANNOUNCES LAUNCH DATE, WITH BOOKINGS NOW LIVE

Ahead of its official opening on Thursday 22nd October, Cow & Sow’s sister brand, The Field Farmshop & Kitchen has opened bookings, and given guests a sneak preview of the menu

The Field Farmshop & Kitchen, set-up by the founders of premium steakhouse brand Cow & Sow, will officially open its doors on Thursday 22nd October, located opposite the recently launched Kitchen Farm in Flax Bourton, just outside of Bristol.

Bookings can now be made online for up to 8 people, or for larger enquiries, customers can email the team directly at hello@thefieldfarmshop.co.uk. Walk-ins are welcome in the bar and outdoor area, giving guests the opportunity to dine al fresco, whilst taking in the stunning countryside views.

Sitting within almost an acre of land, The Field will be serving up a range of hearty breakfast and brunch dishes, including various full English options, house made granola, and The Field fluffy pancakes. They will also serve a lunch and later menu with dishes featuring a soup of the day, an abundant Ploughman’s platter as well as more indulgent options such as flat iron steaks. All dishes will be made with locally sourced produce from their Farm and meat sourced from with Cow & Sow’s artisan butcher partner, Walter Rose & Son.

On Sundays, the team will also be serving a signature roast dinner. Menus will be subject to change based on seasonal farm produce. A Deli ‘counter’ will further provide takeaway options of freshly baked goods such as scotch eggs, sausage rolls and salads made from Farm produce, alongside takeaway coffees using beans from Clifton Coffee Roasters.

The new site will accommodate up to 70 covers across a restaurant/cafe, with external decking providing a further 40 guests the opportunity to dine al fresco.

The Farmshop will sell a range of locally-sourced artisan products and gifts, including chutney from West Country Legends, Single Variety Co jams, baked goods from local estate bakery; The Newt, fresh ice cream from family-run Marshfield Farm Ice Cream and, eventually, honey from The Field’s new beehives.

The Farmshop & Cafe will be open from 7:30am to 6:00pm and Kitchen open 7:30am to 4:00pm every Monday to Friday. On Thursdays, The Field will host Charcuterie evenings, opening from 6-9pm for sharing boards and drinks. Weekend hours differ, see The Field’s website for the full information.

The Field also unveils ambitious plans for a full programme of events, released every 3 months. Guests will be able to enjoy pop ups from Cut & Bun, local street food vendors, seasonal workshops as well as events to mark special days such as Valentine’s, Mother’s day and more.

Mark Warburton, founder of Cow & Sow and The Field Farmshop & Kitchen, says: “We’re so excited to be finally opening our doors. The team is hard at work, putting the finishing touches to the restaurant and farm shop. We’ve had so much support from locals, friends and family – we can’t wait to show people what we’ve done with the place.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming our first guests through the door in October, this is a real passion project for myself and my wife Amy. We want this place to be an extension of the ethos and brand we’ve built at Cow & Sow and we want The Field to become a pillar of the local community.”
