With its fuzz-fuelled guitar licks, woozy vintage organs, trippy multi-layered harmonies, and hypnotic rhythms, the rising Midlands outfit deliver a radiant psych pop wonder.
Striking an alchemic blend of psychedelia, indie, and vintage pop, “Have You Seen Her Tonight” at once recalls the dreamy, pastoral creations of Gorky’s Zytgotic Mynci to The Coral, The Beach Boys to the Zombies.
Catchy, colourful, and with a crunching Super Furries-esque crescendo to boot, this is joyous psych-pop to put a spring in your step.

The Good Water are: Rob Clements (lead vocals/guitar), Tom Fisher (vocals/drums), and Stuart Webb (vocals/keyboards). Since forming in 2016, The Good Water have rapidly picked-up quite a following around their native Midlands with frequent SOLD-OUT headline shows in Birmingham, not to mention major support shows alongside psych-pop luminaries including Mercury Rev, Super Furry Animals, and Bill Ryder-Jones.
Securing praise and plays from the likes of Radcliffe & Maconie and Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music), John Kennedy (Radio X), and regular support from Brum Radio; their string of singles to date including “Firmament”, “Love”, “Breadcrumbs” “Colours” and more have been met with rave reviews from tastemaker sites, with Live4Ever hailing the band’s “fascinating explorations of sound and rhythm, designed to excite and explore.”
While they may be one of the Midlands’ “best kept secrets”, it seems that tag is quickly expiring. With a national tour of the UK with Canadian blues rockers The Sheepdogs, not to mention their own SOLD OUT headlines shows at renowned venues such as The Workman’s Club in Dublin, Bristol’s The Fleece, Cardiff’s The Globe, and London’s Lafayette, it’s all been flowing in the right direction for The Good Water.
And in 2026, The Good Water will finally release their long-awaited debut album, ‘Feel Your Mind’ on 22 May. A psychedelic time-capsule that transports the listener through their progression as a band, ‘Feel Your Mind’ has been sometime in the making and true labour of love for the band. As Rob of the band explains:
“We think of this album as a sort of timeline for the band. Some of the tracks were recorded a number of years ago and each one conjures a specific memory for us. Since our first single “See Your Light”, we’ve been through a lot together. However, the drive, passion and enthusiasm to create an album that we are immensely proud of has never changed.”
With the majority of the tracks recorded at RML studios in Wolverhampton, The Good Water worked closely with its studio owner Ryan Pinson and legendary psych-pop mind Tim Felton (of Broadcast / Seeland) to hone its definitively otherworldly sounds.
“We often recorded a foundation for each song by tracking the three of us playing live” reflects Rob of the recording process. “I’m fortunate to also have my own studio space, so a lot of the overdubs and mixing were then done there. I feel that working this way has given us the best of both worlds; live organic grooves coupled with more considered layered instrumentation.”
The result is an album at once vintage and fresh, a retro-futuristic gem that pops with ideas as it nods to the likes of early Floyd to 13th Floor Elevators, Stereolab to Super Furry Animals, and beyond.
“As a band we take inspiration from a lot of 60s/70s psych bands. We love the feel of old vintage gear, so it’s not at all surprising that our music also has a slightly moth-eaten, analogue vibe to it” adds Rob.
“Personally I’d always wanted to create an album with a mixture of hook-filled, unapologetic pop bangers, and more extended instrumental tracks, that take the listener on psychedelic sonic journeys. With this album, I feel we’ve done exactly that.”
