Summer 2020 the team from The Vanguard at 1000 Trades are set to bring Birmingham it’s newest bar, The Pineapple Club Cocktail Bar & Beer Boutique!

We really love with what we have put together at the Vanguard, we’ve won so many awards and reignited a forgotten drink (Mead) but for some time we realised our dreams have out grown the space, so a much needed upgrade was in store.
The Pineapple Club will be a new offering from the company holding a very different experience, laid over two floors, the ground floor will hold a dedicated beer shop, which will have an impressive range of Craft Beer, Ale, Mead and speciality spirits headed up by the teams new beer specialists. The shop will open from 10am each day.
Upstairs will contain a 80 capacity bar opening from 10am serving 200 Degree’s coffee and a Brunch and late small plate menu, headed by Santi Plazas ex sous chef of El Boracho Tapas! The menu will be a fusion of Spanish, Italian and Columbian cuisine feeding from Santi’s culinary history and heritage.
Evenings, the bar will be serving an exciting range of cocktails which the team is known for. The menu will rotate every 6 month, each time being theme around a different concept, for the opening menu the team have decided on “Pop Culture Icons” with drinks being themed after icons such as Starwars, Studio Ghibli, Mortal Combat and even Rick & Morty! There is something for everyone, we’re excited to try the Slurm (Themed after Futurama), a blend of Bombay Sapphire Gin, Original English Mead, Elderflower and botanical cordial!
The team hasn’t stopped there, working with award winning interior designer Maisie Violet Ree’s The Pineapple Club will Birmingham most instagramble venue to date! Boulton said, “Venue deign was really important to us, we wanted to bring something Birmingham is missing, Maisie is a great designer known for her bold contemporary art deco style. We were confident she’d help bring our ideas to life!”.
