Peppa Pig has proved that no dream is too big after successfully completing an out-of-this-world mission into outer space.
The beloved character blasted off for the unique mission this week, travelling over 100,000 feet into the air, before floating just above the planet’s atmosphere.
The moment was captured in full 4k resolution and screened on Thursday 30 July at the NEC’s Lakeside Cinema – home of hands-on, walk-through experience PEPPA PIG Space Adventure.
Created as a special one-time addition to the popular PEPPA PIG Space Adventure experience, the footage showed Peppa’s out of this world journey, from take-off and her ascent to the outer edges of the Earth’s atmosphere.
During her flight, Peppa was able to spot the NEC from above, as well as popular landmarks across the city and wider region.
After soaring through space Peppa returned safely to Earth to the delight of families watching her mission from the ground. During her journey Peppa could be heard saying “This is so much fun!”.
Peppa’s journey to space forms part of PEPPA PIG Space Adventure’s commitment to inspire curiosity and encourage young children to use their imagination.
Families across the Midlands and beyond were invited to the NEC Lakeside for the interactive screening of the mission, where they watched her journey unfold before their eyes before stepping into their own mission at PEPPA PIG Space Adventure.
PEPPA PIG Space Adventure, is a hands-on walk-through experience at the NEC, where each room tells a story and little explorers are encouraged to play, discover and join the fun. Pre-schoolers and Peppa fans are invited to Peppa’s home, exploring different rooms from Evie’s nursery to the playroom, before using their imaginations to blast off into space to land on the surface of the moon.

Children can also join the fun by designing a rocket for Peppa, with a competition inviting young artists to submit their own creations. Entries can be submitted online via peppapigspaceadventure.co.uk/competition before Tuesday 1 September.
