Birmingham Hippodrome Announces New Shows

Birmingham Hippodrome has announced a new list of productions for 2026 and 2027. They include Hadestown, Savage, Chicago, Singin’ in the Rain, and more.

Online Memberships Make Tickets Cheaper

Booking entertainment online is one of the best ways to get discounts. Friends membership tiers start from £50 and offer exclusive discounts and priority booking. Two-for-one tickets can be claimed through this portal. Patron memberships start from £27.50 and offer discounts while supporting the charitable work carried out by the venue. Approaches like this can be seen elsewhere, as cinema chains often offer cheaper tickets online or app-exclusive promotions. Escape rooms and theme parks also give discounts for those who book online.

In digital entertainment, the same trend is evident. Streaming services push controlled promotions to draw in new users, and audio platforms like Spotify offer household deals that cover multiple users. In iGaming, online promotions are also common, as they lower the barrier of entry to new players. Those who discover current Vegas promotions can get £10 in live bonuses or 50 free spins, for example.

As the global entertainment market is expanding rapidly and is valued at over $3.2 trillion, it makes sense for traditional venues to adopt digital portals when trying to offer discounts for upcoming shows. By putting memberships online, they can be accessed 24 hours a day, meaning more people turn up to new shows, while offering more booking flexibility.

Shows Coming to the Birmingham Hippodrome

Hadestown is coming to the Birmingham Hippodrome from 13th to 17th of April, 2027. This is part of the UK and Ireland tour. The story follows Orpheus and Eurydice, and the score is heavily influenced by New Orleans jazz. Savage will be hitting the theatre from 20th to 24th of April. The musical was written by Jonathan Harvey and was inspired by Paul O’Grady.

Rambert’s It’s a Sin is coming to Birmingham from the 28th of April to the 1st of May, 2027, and is inspired by Russel T Davies’ TV series. Also coming to the theatre are Singin’ in the Rain, Dance, and Anatomy of Survival. The Patrick Studio is hosting a number of productions during late 2026, and tickets can be bought for these online now.

As the Birmingham Hippodrome is one of the biggest single-auditorium theaters in the UK, it’s a popular choice for those who want to see some of the biggest shows in the world. The theatre seats 1,850 people in the main auditorium and welcomes over 500,000 visitors every single year. West End musicals frequently visit the arena, and it’s the home of the Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Outside major hubs like London, Birmingham Hippodrome puts on the most popular productions in the UK. As so many shows have been announced, this is set to be another standout year for the venue, and with different promotional tiers available for those who want to buy tickets, it’s safe to say that there are more options than ever for those who want to attend multiple events throughout the year.
