Birmingham-based spirits brand BeauFort Spirit will be taking a month-long residency spot at Kong bar in Stirchley this December, with an exclusive cocktail menu.
The pop-up menu will be serving cocktails made with BeauFort Spirit products, including Negroni, Gimlet, Rum Espresso Martini, Rum Old Fashioned, Dark & Smoky and a Smoked G&T, as well as two warm cocktails, a Hot Buttered Rum and a Mulled Gin. Additional specials could also be available.
BeauFort’s pop-up at Kong has capacity to hold 25 seated and 15 standing guests.
BeauFort Spirit, which is distilled locally in the Black Country, was founded by distiller, perfumer and musician, Leo Crabtree. Following the launch of his fragrance brand, BeauFort London, Crabtree founded BeauFort Spirit after deciding to create a gin inspired by fragrance. BeauFort’s first overproof gin was released in 2020, followed by the brand’s Three Tides rum.
BeauFort Overproof Smoked Gin is an acclaimed contemporary gin with ‘bold, smoky savoury notes and richly textured flavours of grainy cereals, cream soda, brown sugar and ginger spice’. The brand’s Three Tides Smoked Botanical Rum is a ‘highly aromatic and characterful spiced rum’, intended to be ‘sipped over ice, mixed in contemporary cocktails or used in classic rum and mixer combinations, bringing deep smoky complexity’.
Kong bar sits on Stirchley’s Pershore Road and is owned by the same team behind Stir Stores.
The pop-up will take place from December 8th – 11th, 15th – 17th, 22nd – 24th and 27th – 31st.
BeauFort Spirit’s pop-up will be located at Kong, 1402 Pershore Road, Stirchley, B30 2XS.
