Birmingham Food Drive Fundraiser & Collection Gig 11th March

ART!IVST UK & Dubgasm have teamed up with Birmingham Food Drive to create an evening of poetry, live music, visual art and DJs to fundraise for Birmingham’s homeless, on Saturday March 11th at The Wagon & Horses Digbeth.

‘With the collective altruistic alchemy of our line-up, the venue, and ourselves as organisers; we have engineered a night to help the homeless and pack a socially-minded punch to raise awareness.’ – Kiz (Dubgasm)

Entry to the event is FREE with significant donations of:

  • -sleeping bags
  • -warm clothes
  • -toiletries
  • -fresh & tinned food
  • -sanitary products
  • -bottles of water.

These will be distributed the following day directly to Birminghams rough sleepers.

If you are unable to bring any items a door charge of £7 will apply. All door fees will be used to buy items the following day.

The evening will consist of a variety of second city sounds such as reggae punk boys Lobster, hard hitting indie from Paper Buoys an exclusive spoken word set from veteran MC Cheshire Cat, radical rhymes from Tarik Ross Cameron, and stripped down acoustic vibes from Johnny Kowalksi & The Sexy Weirdos. Taking control of the turntables will be scorching reggae from Wool-Lea, b2b roots and dancehall sounds from Bongo Damo (Jam Jah Sound) and Jah Nova (Young Culture Sound) and stunning live art from Mones.
