Birmingham to Host a New Boat Show Which Celebrates the Boating Lifestyle

The brand-new show, BoatLife Live, is set to open its doors to visitors on 17th – 20th February. The four-day show, spanning three halls of the NEC, is perfect for those looking for some escapism, those getting onto the water for the first time, experienced sailors, and even those just looking for a new water hobby.

The event will be opened by Pip Hare, the eighth woman in history to complete the Vendee Globe and after, she will take to the stage to talk more about her experiences and take questions from show visitors. The live stage is the main attraction at the show, and with speakers such as Katie McCabe, Tom Cunliffe, Atlantic rowing teams and the shows ambassadors, including Jade and Brynn, also known as Chasing Currents from the West Midlands, there will be something for everyone.

The big spectacle of the show is boats, covering rivers, lakes, canals and the high seas! There will be powerboats, narrow boats, speedboats to beautiful yachts from well-known brands, including Princess, Brig, Fairline, Axopar to Sea-Doo, Grandezza, Bayliner and Centurion. The show will also host several boat debuts, including the RYCK 280, Seven Seas Hermes Speedster, Swordfish F80 and Polycraft Tuffy 300.

Alongside the boats will be a vast selection of equipment and engine companies, including Quick UK, Raymarine, Aquafax, English Braids, Barrus Marine, Bainbridge, Honda and B&G. Complimented by other marine leisure brands including SBS Trailers, Freedom Boat Club and ProMarine Finance.

There really is something for everyone including those interested in water sports, whether its wake boarding, paddle boarding, kayaking to name a few.

Ben Nichols, Clipper Marine, commented:

We are really excited to finally have a dedicated boat and water show catering for the North of England – it will be great to be back in the Midlands to meet all those boaters and those looking for some escapism or interested in trying something different. There really is something for all budgets and all levels of experience so we hope people will come and visit.

BoatLife Live, the first boat show of 2022 will take place from 17th – 20th February at the NEC Birmingham. The exhibitors are keen to help people make the best decision for their next boat or kit, or to help start a new journey, a new hobby, answer questions, get advice or do some research.

The show will also have a replica traditional pub and Mediterranean bar, so there will be plenty of places to meet old friends and make new ones while listening to live music and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. Features at the show include the Live Stage with a full programme of interesting speakers, an inland zone and Virtual Reality feature– the show has been curated to give the whole family a day out and celebrate the boating lifestyle.
