dOubLe dUtCh 80s disco at Hare and Hounds Sat 16th Oct – Post Punk, Electro, New Wave, New Romantic and more!

What is dOubLe dUtCh, all about?

For us its’ a celebration of one of the most seismic periods in UK musical history, 1978-1985.

An explosion of musical styles and their associated tribes. Its’ Post Punk, Electro, New Wave, New Romantic, Indie, and yes even Pop! It’s an era that defined generations, influenced most of the music we hear today, producing some great acts and fantastic, iconic music.

So, think Tom Tom Club to Two Tone, Can to Eno, Gary Numan to Gang of Four, Duran Duran to Grace Jones the list goes on, and on, and on! So why not put on a night to celebrate it. The right way, the right music, the right people and the right vibe.

Music to dance to. Music to laugh to. Music to reminisce to. Nostalgia is indeed as good as it used to be. This mix is a taster of what is to come featuring, Put your make up on boys, and girls get crimping, we’re gonna have some fun…

The Double Dutch Collective are, KJ Andrew’s, Steve Bignell, Chris Bridge, Ada Gallagher and Andrew James Perry. We all love the music, some were lucky enough to have partied through it at the time.

What’s more we want to play it out loud and proper and enjoy it to the max in the great venue that is The Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath. So come and join us.
