From Virtual Discos to Cocktail Classes – How To Celebrate Halloween Virtually

GHOULISH FUN AND GAMES THIS WEEK TO CELEBRATE ALL HALLOWS EVE

(WHETHER YOU’RE IN TIER ONE, TWO OR THREE)

Wednesday 28th October 2020: For many social butterflies, Halloween is the party event of the year.

However, now that most of the country is living under tiered Covid-19 restrictions, hosting parties of more than six people is out of the question. But the nation’s innovators and creatives have come to the rescue to save Halloween 2020, virtually.

Citysocializer is a virtual events platform, social network and community to find and enjoy exciting social events, fitness classes, wellness or learning workshops by verified hosts. The platform is open to anyone with a skill or passion to share, and Halloween lovers have listed events for us to get into the spooky spirit, including:

This is a cocktail class like no other as bar workers bring happy hour to our homes with a special Halloween cocktail-making session! The host will be shaking and making two homemade Halloween concoctions with guests on the night and talking  through the mixology. There will also be a Halloween quiz and a spooky Spotify playlist to bring the virtual cocktail bar experience to life

This event is Halloween-inspired Charades, Pictionary, and Articulate all rolled into one. Guests are encouraged to dress up with makeup and accessories too

This is a virtual Halloween Disco night playing the spookiest and kookiest Halloween tracks old and new to dance to through to the witching hour. Full-on Halloween dress-up is encouraged, so the wilder and wackier your outfit the better. Guests can either stay in the main “room” to listen and dance to the tunes, or hop into the separate virtual bar area to talk and have a laugh with others on the night to meet some new people, or enjoy a bit of both through the night

If you’re wondering how to celebrate Halloween from home, then you’re invited to join this haunted evening of games and ghost stories that will definitely give you the chills. Everyone will be challenged to join the event with their scariest Zoom background turned on and the hosts will kick off by voting for the winners in a virtual Halloween background competition. The rest of the night will alternate between turning the lights out to watch and listen to a curated collection of really scary ghost stories and keeping the demons at bay with some Halloween-inspired games to get everyone chatting, laughing and lightening the mood!

Most events and experiences are priced £4 – £15 and discounted with Citysocializer membership that starts from £9.99/month. Commercial event hosts earn the full net income from their event bookings via the platform and can host as many as they like, at whatever times they like.

Before Covid, Citysocializer was established in the UK as an events-based social network to help city-based professionals meet new friends and explore the city’s social and cultural scene. Community members used the platform to post real-world group social and cultural events and activities at city venues across the UK to host and these events were open for people to join in order to meet new people and enjoy social and cultural experiences together.

Impacted by the pandemic, the company quickly adapted their offering to develop a varied program of virtual social, fitness and wellness events via Zoom to keep people socially connected, and on top of their physical and mental health and wellbeing, from home during lockdown.
