- Birmingham’s independent street food and craft beer hall unveils its Christmas specials and new great-value party packages.
- Plus festive specials from the traders, including the ultimate Christmas sarnie and the Big Beefy Christmas burger
This year, Society is bringing Birmingham together around its famous long tables for festive street food and brand-new Christmas party packages offering exceptional value. Designed for big, joyful get-togethers, the £30-per-person package brings together food from five independent kitchens, a glass of Prosecco on arrival and two drinks from Society’s big, brilliant bar.
The work gang, the mates you never manage to get together, the one who organises everything – whoever’s coming, Society is inviting them to pull up a chair around the biggest and most sociable tables in the city. Think sleeves rolled up feasting and Society’s trademark relaxed party vibes – its Christmas with character and everyone’s invited.
Available 16 November–31 December, the brand new festive party packages give everyone the freedom to choose what they fancy from a choice of authentic, quality, globally inspired dishes courtesy of Society’s family of independent traders:
- Manzoku: a JFC Chicken Bucket with furikake fries, or two lobster and prawn bao with furikake fries.
- Shokupan: Half a Christmas Sando, choosing between the Tokyo Fire-Bird or Christmas Brisket, served with salted fries & ketchup and finished off with Festive Shokubaes.
- Bostin Burgers: The Bostin burger, fries and 2 chicken tenders.
- Yoki Social Table: Korean Fried Chicken on Bibimbap.
- Asha’s: Take your pick from any of Asha’s main courses, alongside your choice of Poppadoms or Onion Bhaji to start.
Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and the drinks selection is every bit as considered and joyous as the food. Guests can choose from Vocation Crush Hour, Vocation Hilltop, DEYA Steady Rolling Man, Budvar, Guinness and Westons Cider, alongside Pinot Grigio, Malbec, Prosecco, house spirits with a draught mixer and standard soft drinks.
To keep things flowing guests can also pre-order four bottles of house wine for £100, ready at the table on arrival. Society’s Christmas elves can also create bespoke packages and options for bigger events or just for something a little different.
Alongside the party packages, a line-up of festive specials launches across all five kitchens on 16th November.
Bostin Burgers brings the full festive works with the Big Beefy Christmas burger featuring melted Brie, smoked bacon and cranberry mayo on a sesame bun and The Chicken Clucker with fried chicken breast, American cheese, smoked bacon, stuffing, cranberry and gravy.
Shokopan presents the ultimate Christmas sarnie with the Tokyo Fire-bird – oversized ultra-crispy halal chicken cutlet on thick-cut, toasted shokupan with cinnamon, clove and chilli hot honey plus a crunchy cranberry-kewpie mayo slaw. Serve it up alongside Christmas Brisket Loaded Fries with beef brisket, melted Emmental, sauerkraut, chopped German dill pickles and cranberry Düsseldorf mustard mayo.
