The Independent Birmingham Festival 2017

On Saturday 13th May (12pm – 6pm), The Independent Birmingham Festival will be taking place at The Bond Company, Digbeth, showcasing the very best of Birmingham’s independent restaurants, bars, pubs, street food traders, retailers, artists, designers, musicians, makers and more in a day-long celebration of all that is great about our city.

Independent Birmingham has teamed up with Birmingham Seasonal Markets for the next step in their revolution of local – The Independent Birmingham Festival.

To differentiate this event from others, they’ve curated a line-up of high-end independent restaurant pop-ups, alongside having the best bars in Brum shaking up the drinks and multi award-winning street food vendors serving up tasty grub. What’s more, the finest coffee in Birmingham will also be available to sip as you peruse the indoor market hall packed with the best independent retailers, artists, designers and makers to be found in our city.

In addition to incredible food and drink from the very best independent restaurants, street food traders and bars in Brum, there will also be a programme of live music (among other things) taking place throughout the day so as to keep you all entertained whilst stuffing your faces on some of the very best grub in Brum and sipping on cocktails and craft beer.

Rum cocktails from The Cuban Embassy, The Church grilling huge chunks of meat over open flame and making Cajun-style sandwiches, Low ’N’ Slow serving up his glorious beef short ribs and tacos, Rob Wood giving you the opportunity to try some of the very best cocktails in the city, and Clink creating a mobile bar especially for us, so that you can enjoy 4-6 draught craft beers straight from the tap on the day. Not to mention waffles, multi award-winning Thai street food, wine, coffee, whisky, bubble tea, barbecued treats and all the gift ideas you could possibly imagine in the indoor market hall. The Independent Birmingham Festival is set to be one fantastic day out!

The IB festival will take place between 12pm – 6pm at The Bond Company, with restaurant pop-ups, street food, cocktails, craft beer, local artists, designers, musicians and retailers showcasing why Birmingham is so great throughout the day.
