The Victoria

The Victoria pub in Birmingham city centre has been serving punters for well over half a century. Having been previously managed by M & B and Admiral Taverns, this beautiful old Victorian building is now in the very capable hands of local pub family Bitters n Twisted.

Bitters n Twisted have a reputation for taking on dusty old pubs full of character, then bringing them back to life with a modern alternative twist. The Victoria was the first to appreciate this magic-wand makeover and soon became a firm favourite with locals and visitors to the city.

As with all Bitters n Twisted venues, architectural features are enhanced to bring out the original charm and character of the building, where bohemia meets cosmopolitan. The brilliantly inspired decor comes complete with leather padded doors/bar, whilst weird and wonderful creations peer back at you from the walls, not to mention the ornate pictures suspended from the ceiling.

Musically, the Victoria is not bound by stereotypical genre, DJs and live bands play a wide selection of music from cool disco to alternative indie with DJs in the bar and bands upstairs in the function room. Music is a strong theme with the Victoria and you can often see performers from the theatre next door enjoying a drink and the party, and occasionally joining in the pub quiz..

The drinks selection on offer includes quality handpicked wines, cask ales and cocktails. They also have two guest ales which change on a regular basis.
