Lasan

Lasan opened in 2002, quickly establishing itself by serving the city’s finest contemporary Indian cuisine. The restaurant later rose to fame when celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay featured this already popular culinary destination on national TV.

Lasan is now widely considered as one of the UK’s finest Indian restaurants, presenting award-winning cuisine in warm, sumptuous surroundings from its Jewellery Quarter location, the artisanal heart of Birmingham.

Whether it’s the playful banter of bright young things over hot samosas and cold beer, or the contagious happiness of intrepid foodies, Lasan has a vibe that’s difficult to resist, the atmosphere pulsates with laughter and fun, witnessing milestone celebrations, grand plans and some truly beautiful love stories.

The modern menu is inventive and enticing with options such as:

Sharing Platters (A heavenly cornucopia of chicken sheek kebab, succulent lamb cutlets, tender, slow-braised venison samosas and roasted salmon, served with
tamarind and mint chutneys), Samundari Biryani (Succulent prawns, mussels, white fish, squid and aromatic basmati rice, tempered with fresh coconut milk, curry leaves and tamarind) and Murgh Kari (Succulent supreme of spring chicken, pan-seared and slow-simmered in a South Indian curry of roasted gram, fresh tomato, mustard seed and curry leaf) – full menu can be viewed here.
