Pitcher & Piano Brindleyplace has reopened with a brand new look

Following its extensive refurbishment, Pitcher & Piano Birmingham has reopened with a refreshed look.

Poised over the water’s edge in the city’s vibrant Brindleyplace, Pitcher & Piano Birmingham has been open for over 20 years and is one of the brand’s most popular sites. Over £800k has been spent renovating the bar, giving both the inside and outside spaces an extensive refurbishment. The venue’s covers have grown to 168, including canal-side tables.

The interior of the bar has received a full overhaul, with the ground floor of the venue gaining a fluted bar front, a refreshed colour palette for its seating and mid-height booths complete with table lamps to create a more comfortable and homely atmosphere. Additional decorative elements include a double-sided light bulb wall and a full-height green wall with an illuminated ‘&’. The bar’s lower ground floor has seen herringbone wood panelling added to some areas, and the installation of a brand new photo booth.

The external areas on both the ground and lower floors showcase a new look, with an al fresco space designed to make the outdoor space feel like an extension of the internal, edged with box hedges and festoon lights.

The venue has also seen the addition of a private dining space available to hire, alongside bookable spaces for drinks occasions for guests looking to celebrate.

Geoff Webber, Director of Operations at Pitcher & Piano, said, “We are really excited to have opened our doors and reveal the refreshed Pitcher & Piano to the city of Birmingham. The much-loved Brindleyplace site has been open for over 20 years and is one of our most popular, so to give it a well-deserved refurbishment has been great. We have invested a significant amount – over £800k – in giving the inside and outside spaces a complete overhaul. Pitcher & Piano is for every occasion: welcoming guests from day to night, whether it’s a special event or just after-work drinks. Now that the doors are open again, we hope everybody comes to visit and see the new space!”

The bar is continuing to offer a menu of fresh food including bottomless brunch, and a range of classic, house and sharing cocktails and a premium range of spirits, wines, beers and soft drinks.
